The campus environment a key element in choice

When it comes to deciding what makes a great university campus, it's like trying to decide what makes something beautiful – it's all in the eyes of the beholder. The best university campus is such a personal thing that if there was a choice out of 10 campuses, there would most likely be as many votes for each campus as there were people voting.
If you are an athlete, the best campus would be one that provided a great athletics program, top rate facilities and equipment, and, a great team of coaches. An arts student on the other hand would probably vote the best campus as one that has some renowned artists on the faculty, links to major galleries and art mentoring programs, and also an on-campus exhibition gallery that was well regarded.
For other students, it may be the student residence that is the priority, or the evening and weekend options for on-campus activities. Some urban campuses are open almost 24/7 while some city centre campuses close after the last evening class and are not open on Saturday evening or Sundays.
The campus atmosphere goes a long way in making your university experience a rewarding one. It is important to visit a university and get a feel for it before making your choice.
